Default 07+ Blackhousing Question

I am trying to put back the headlight assembly but the pieces arent going back together correctly. Below are 2 pictures I provided of the problem I am facing.

Can anyone please shed some light?

I have an 07 headlight and would like to know how the the green wires? I think its connecting to the turn signal.I removed everything else (the harness, etc). Are you supposed to bake it with the green wires inside? Here are pics:

Thanks

The only thing I remove from all my lights is the HID system. Everything else stays. Those green wires hook to your OEM amber LEDs BTW.

It's already been done. Check the interior/exterior diy forum.

its pretty much like that.
take out all the wires you can. take out the HID components and ballast.
If i remember right, i think i just had 1 wire left in there that I couldnt take out but it didnt hurt anything.
bake
open headlight
paint
put headlights together
bake again
make sure its all sealed
enjoy

i think thats about it.

but what about the amber led area... that part comes off? how do you paint that piece? is there any wiring that should be left in the housing that gets baked? or is the housing itself baked only?

You are not aligning your lenses correctly before putting them in the oven. If you do, they will be a half inch or less from their final resting spot before the are heated. Afterwards, just slide them further. You will know when to stop when the two inner trim pieces (the ones you painted) make contact.

Your wiring question has already been answered twice in this thread. As for the cover for the amber LEDs, yes it is easily removed from the housing but it's your choice whether or not to remove it. I don't see the point in that. You will have to alternate your paint application angle from upwards to downwards anyway to get a nice, even coat. Just mask off the clear "windows" for the LEDs and carry on.

The above will make sense once you look at your headlights' internals.

That's exactly it. You'll have to use a little elbow grease to get it to line up. Resistance when you're putting them back together is normal.
