Default Taking off plugs on the tailights?

Ok so I searched for a long time (i may be putting in the wrong keywords) but i could not find a straight diy or tutorial for changing the taillights to 06 LED.

I dont really need the tutorial however as i know what to do. My question is, how are we supposed to remove the plugs from the housing?

Should i just be pulling it to come off? I didnt want to try that because i didnt know if it would break. Are we supposed to be squeezing any tabs together and then pull off? I didnt see any tabs to pull. Any help would be appreciated. Pics would be best if you guys got. Thanks

There should be a tab that pulls away from the body of the plug and then the plug pulls straight out. I'll see if I can find a photo.

I think I was wrong. I think the tab pushes in.

There's a tab on each plug that you push IN, all you gotta do is squeeze the hell out of the plug while pulling.

Those clips are a total *****! If you can't do it with your hands, try pushing in with a small screwdriver or pick tool as you try to pull it out of the plug. If you use something other than your hands, be sure not to hit your interior panels or the wire itself with whatever you use at all costs.

EExxxxxcellent!! Glad to hear it.
I love my LEDs. Even with all of the lights off, I think the color and clarity of the lenses makes the light look so much better. Enjoy.

yeah before i had the 06 LEDs in hand, i didnt really notice the color difference. I only noticed the "dot" formation as compared with the old. But the red in the 06 tails seem like a much more vibrant red. Im happy
