White LED License Plate and Trunk Lights
I researched on this for a good few days before I ordered. I refused to buy the superbrightleds since my friends had it and would go out often, also from a lot of other members on the site saying it goes out too often. I went with PIAA , Part No. 19263 Super LED White/White. The superled one also has a more of a blue tint and the PIAA one is a lot more white. The only thing is I wish they lit up a lot more, they only have 2LED in each bulb but it works great and is very nice. Also they are really expensive for some LED bulbs, but I wanted quality/and not ones that will burn out on me. So I'll see how long these last.

thanks for info.

Just wondering what you guys recommend for long life? I see quakerroatmeal got the PIAA bulbs.
I ordered bulbs from eBay a little while ago which looked awesome! I was thrilled. They lasted about 3 weeks. Haha, learn from my mistakes. The seller said I would need to install a "load resistor" on each socket because they were getting too much watts. So the running lights (in the headlights) are out now and I replaced my license plate bulbs with the stock yellow bulbs.
Needless to say, now I'm worried about ordering from just anywhere because I don't know if they are the proper wattage/volts... even though they "match" they factory part number.

man i love all the good info in this thread but.. knowing pretty much nothing about lights, i barely understand anything.. hahah... ohhh man i need a 350z tutor.
I know this thread is semi-old but I don't want to make a new thread. Saw a Z around here with insanely bright/nice white license plate bulbs that made my PIAA's look bad. PIAA's have been on for approximately 8months or so and still going strong but I would love to have something brighter. Anybody tried anything else that last pretty long/and are really bright white?

the one's i got from V-LEDS last about 3-5 months. i'd like to try the PIAA ones and have the V-LEDS as back-up since they are cheaper.
I thought LEDs were supposed to last longer?!!!
Anybody order from this guy? What do you think?

I've had them for over a year now and still going strong. I ordered the 13k one and they're pretty white and not purple/blue like 13k would be.
Forgot all about this thread. I found Polarg lights to be better then the PIAA's. You can order them from
