Default No power to HID

My passenger side HID went out. I replaced the bulb and nothing. So I put a meter on it and it isn't getting power. I checked all the fuses and they are good. Any ideas what to do next?

Sounds like a dead ballast maybe... they do die sometimes but its pretty rare, especially an OEM one that came with the car.

But you could try taking your headlamps out (I think you have to take the bumper off), then remove the ballasts and swap them... See if your left works on the right side. Or you can just unplug the ballast on the right side and see if power is getting to the wiring before the ballast.

Or you can talk to Nic at Cincitydesigns (if you continue to have problems.)

Thanks guys. Any idea how much a new ballast would run me?

I don't know if you can get just a new OEM ballast... maybe check wrecking yards? You might have to buy an entire headlamp assymbly because the ballast comes attached to it. But I dunno, you can call a Nissan dealer and ask. Or you can probably buy some other OEM ballasts for other cars at www.hidplanet.com or some other HID specialty shop.

OEM ballasts are very common and are ALL OVER ebay. If you've checked everything else, I'd go with that. Did you verify that your ballast is even connected? I've had lights shipped in to me where the connector had broken loose. You might want to do a double check and use the ballast from the other light to see if it does indeed cure your problem.
