I was just thinking, does any one here know if they make an automatic spoiler that deploys at certain speeds and sits flush with the trunk when not in use, like the Porsches, or Bugatti Veyron, or even the crossfire. I was thinking even the OEM spoiler can be mounted on small actuators and raised or lowered at will but seats flush with the trunk. I will like to see some ideas out there. I don't think it would be a complicated set up, just the cutting to make everything fit?
That would not be hard to do. You could use the signal from the VSS since signal from this sensor is frequency based. You could then maybe have two stages for the wing.
Humm I smell an idea...

Ummmm i've seen a 350z have one, but it was on a 350z from japan. I know it would have a mechanism that would make the spoiler raise and lower just like a carrera gt. There is a video somewhere out there maybe someone will link it up.

there is a user in the Z groups in japan that has the motor from i think the boxter added to the rear hatch of his car- he has it automatically raise up on a flip switch.

there is a video around here. just look around. it has it popping up, and some under the hatch images of how he did it.
you can manually 'lock' it up. just like porsche wings.

man, I've looked over and over and nothing, heading this week to my local junk yard looking for a crossfire since Porsches are too much $ even when they are wrecked!
