I know i've seen it on here before but i just searched and i couldn't find it. What is the paint code for 04 interior touch up? just installed my touch screen head unit and got a couple nicks on the plastic.
I know that someone wrote a response once for interior paint. They said that it was some type of paint they got in the paint section at walmart. I remember it was for black interiors, but I don't think the paint color he used was black. It may have been brown. It was a type of spray paint. He said that he would just spray some on a cloth and wipe it on any area that was showing the wear that all 350 interiors get. I'm looking for that thread right now. I'll reply if I find it.
Alright gents, I found something on another site and I tried it today and it worked quite well.
Its a water based non-toxic paint that you can mix with water to match the interior colors. The paint is called Delta Ceramcoat.

I picked it up at JoAnn's with the brushes for about $6.
I started the process by diluted the paint with 60% water and spread the paint on the surface with a fine brush.
I then pat dried it with a paper towel to get a similar texture as the dash and the footwells, and it came out pretty nice.
The paint is cool because its so easy to work with when its wet and you can still remove it even if you make mistakes. Anyone who has ever used the Nissan OEM touch-up paint can attest to how much of PIA that is to work with.
Good luck!!

i tried this method, though i did not dilute mine (might try that again) but the color is almost dead on. if you do not dilute it though at certain agnles you can tell where you touched it up. otherwise at first glance it looks basically new.

I'll get some pics taken if there is enough light when I get home tonight.
Now that the paint has had time to dry I've noticed that some of the areas that were scuffed still show very minimal wear, but are definitely more color-matched. I need to pick up some super light sand paper to try to even the surfaces out..
The dash area behind the 3 pods that got scratched when I installed the Avic D3 is looking much, much better..

I really don't wanna hold up the thread, so I will post a before and after pic from another forum.
As I had previously stated, if you watch your water to paint ratio, you can get a much better color match.
The paint comes off really easy if you make a mistake and doesn't leave any clumping residue so I suggest all interested parties try this out for themselves. Just be patient when applying the paint.
Cheers,

Its black, but a very dull plastic-black.
With age it looks more grey, especially with such a closeup pic.
P.s. The acrylic paint color that I used is the Black...

tried it today. turned out great. a little better than waizz. colors match 90%.....i didnt dilute it that much. more like 40%. brush it on with a thin paintbrush and immediately dab it off with a cheese cloth or something without lint. easy to do. repeat that a few time until the scratch wasnt noticeable. this way i wouldnt have a whole spot of mismatch color ...thanks waizzz
Dopeness!!
I'm glad to help out. My interior had a few annoying scratches all at eye level, so this paint really helped to calm
down my OCD. HAHAHAHH
