Default I...

don't have them but I am pretty sure you would need to. Don't think double sided tape or praying will help.

I think it's just a direct replacement.

here is the story:

I had the Nismo sides on my Z. my body guy drilled into my frame to install these. I just recently sold my Nismo sides. The guy i sold them to said the body shop he took them to won't install them because they have to be drilled into the frame for them to work. I'm wondering is there any other way to have these installed or is that the proper way. i would post pics but i'm at work right now.

They are a direct replacement...I installed mine myself, everything went straight into the existing holes.

I'll probably end up taking them back from the guy....

EDIT: but i would like to get some more insight on what others did with thier replicas. If this is how replica mount then i'm not going to take them back. If this is just a problem with my replicas then i will take them back.

Replica Nismo sideskirts will need to be drilled. I had them on my PPW last year, and they drilled it in two spots...one where the sideskirt meets the front door hinge area, and one more right where the sidestep begins to curl up (by the driver's seat). Once those were drilled in, they double sided the inside, and drilled the bottom of the sideskirts to clip them to the underbody. Two screws in the front wheel well, and two more in the rear, and they're on. It's a major PITA, but if you already bought them, that'll be how they're installed.

i was under the impression that they bolted in the front and rear, as well as underneath the car, and used the oem sill clips. thas how all the sideskirts i have had experience with (trial, and INGS)
