Hey guys, i did a search and tried to find this but i couldnt. I was wondering if you remove the front badge the same way as the back? I want to replace the 350Z emblem with a Nissan Emblem. If not how can i remove it without damageing anything? Sorry if i missed this post elsewhere

Its my understanding that the front badge wont leave holes.. but you'll have the recessed area where the badge once was.

The back leaves holes, thus not a good idea.

Blow dryer and dental floss should be your tools of choice. Are you saying you want to put the "350Z" badge from the back trunk lid to the front emblem?

Nah i want the nissan emblem there. When i bought it, it had the 350Z badge in that spot. So im guessing the previous owner put it there. Just wasnt sure.

I'm also wondering how you take the front emblem off since I'm getting my front bumper repainted this week. I don't see how you can get dental floss in there since its recessed.

The front bumper emblem is stuck on there using very strong double sided tape, you pretty much have to break it off. Well thats how I had to do mine, lol.

IF your getting your front bumper repainted, why not ask the body man to shave (fill in, using body filler) the indention where the emblem was. Front bumper looks real slick/clean without that an emblem.

in addition to the recessed area where the badge is, there is also a hook of some sort holding it on.

JDRAGE...I dont know who did that, but as long it was done in a quality manner and it sits flat on the bumper, why not keep the Z emblem there? I don't think I have ever seen that before, is it the same as the emblems on the side?

I asked for that + to fill in license plate bolt holes. He said that it cannot be done due to the filler getting hard and eventually cracking since the bumper is urethane. The shop I am going to is very very good also and I'm paying more to have this bumper painted than anyone ever should. What I'm trying to say is its not some joe shmoe body shop that is just to lazy to do the extra work (been there already). As far as the license plate holes, I ordered plugs from www.bumperplugs.com and having them painted with the bumper. All I want to do now is be able to re-use the front emblem and not have to buy another, since it is in great shape with no chips of any sort.

Yah its pretty much the same emblem just bigger. It's the one that is usually on the back of the car. I dont mind it being there but i just like the Nissan emblem more.
