Default $24.00 PROFFESIONAL TINT JOB! Woot! Story and pics inside

Long story short. my tint job was SUPPOSE to cost $240.00. I argued with them before I made an appointment that the price was outrageous for a roadster!!! Well, when he rang me up, he missed a "0" and I only paid $24 for my tint job! Lucky, I know. This was about a month ago, so I feel safe posting about it now. (Didn't want to jinx myself, lol)

18% rear and 35% front

(state law is 50% front and 35% rear)

Na....they use an older debit system. The computer prints out an invoice, then he has to punch in how much to charge my CC....well, he missed a "0" because my invoice said $240.00, but my account and CC receipt only said $24.00...and he wasn't the guy who tinted my car anyways.

i think i paid $120 for my roadster - 15% all around. I would have rather paid $24 though. How did the guy at the register not catch the mistake?

Missed one extra zero, gave him the slip to sign and put it up. So you argued with them that 240$ is too high of a price to tint, but you went ahead and got it done anyways, and were willing to pay 240$? But somehow you got lucky and paid 24$?

Looks great I still wish I had tint. The cops around here used to pull me over everyday if I would come into town, so eventually i got sick of only being able to leave my house at night...pigs won i pulled of my $200 tint job because I got sick of paying a $120 ticket every week. GRRR.

i'm suprised they installed illegal tint onto a car in the first place. most "legit" shops would not have done that. good thing you only spent $24 dollars because if you get caught in virginia, you will need the money for your ticket.

Yeah, it's not to bad...18% all the way around and I think I would have gotten pulled over on my way out the door, lol. I have the top down most of the time. I don't have a front tag either.....4 years running (never had one on my 3000gt, either). I think I even said what the legal limit was in my OP, but thanks for the reminder Dad.

They are a legit shop...my tint has a lifetime warranty, there is a bar code in the tint right below the window in the door, that's how they know its their tint and can get away with "illegal tint"...Cool guys. It was Tint Workz here in Warrenton. They have a few locations.

You got it. I used debit, so I didn't sign anything and that's why I didn't see it at the shop right away...I didn't notice until I looked at my online bank account.

Being that tint jobs cost the business next to nothing other than labor, I bet they still made a profit.

Damn, that's karma for ya. Your were going to be nice and still pay the $240 so the guy was stupid and only charged $24...that's soooo lucky.imagine if it was a normal price of like $100 or $80 then it would have been an $8 job.
