Can the leather touring power seats be added to the TracK model?
My friend just purchased a Track, and he wants to add the Touring power seats . Can this be done and work? And, How?
I ask this because he plans on adding the Bose HU, which we are going to install, and the seats, Any info, please!

first you need to find someone to buy the leather seats from. I think someone is currently selling a set (or just sold a set) in the classifieds section of this site.
no reason you cannot put them in, a little wiring for power and if the seat mounts are not the same (which they probably are) you will need to add seat mounts too.
either way should not be THAT much trouble!

So basically there is a plug that you plug into from the seat to the floor plug, then route the wire to a new console w/ switches and presto--you're done! Just out of curiosity--how much are the powere leather/heated seats each?
What if the leather/power seats that you're buying have side airbags and your current model doesn't have side airbags. IS the computer smart enough to recognize that side airbags are there now and will they be functional? Or would I have to disable the bags?
No comment on the seats; enough info here already.
However, why in hell would he install the Bose crap-fest? It is one of the worst sounding stereos I've ever had the dis-pleasure to listen to.
He'd be far far far far far far (did I emphasize that enough?) better served by spending that cash on an after-market stereo.
Installing the Bose would be like going to Nordstroms and making the shoe guy fit you with a pair of old sneakers from the discard pile. There are so many better choices.
