everything buttons work exept for the panic button which i never used anyways.

Awesome job. Any way you can provide step by step instructions? Also, do the ones that are sold on ebay say "Nissan" on them? Just can't make out the picture on those listings. Either way, I prefer the above approach. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

same product the only diffrence in the 75 bux one is that it includes the keyfob board. which is not necessary if you have one extra laying around or get a used one for 10 bux off ebay.

So the old buttons just fit right in the new keyfob after you cut off the panic button?

actually yes and no.

our remote have four buttons: lock, unlock, trunk, panic. but this remote only allow for 3 buttons. the panic button is not used. so i took an extra remote and cut off the rubber piece where it have the picture of the trunk and cut off another rubber piece where it have the panic button. i just place them two together. its not necessary but i rather have it is the way i have it now then have a red button for trunk release.

its super easy to do. just get it really simple. harder for me to explain then to do.

I bought this one on ebay, already have remote and chip included.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=#ht_4988wt_0

Locksmith can't seem to get the thing programmed though, dealership said that if its not a 2004 chip it wont work. Supposedly, 2004, is a one of a kind key. Is this true? I guess i could rip the chip out of the original, but it would be nice to have a spare key. Plus it would stink to accidently damage the chip.

Don't understand why you bought that one when there was the 30$ one.. both seem to come with the transponder chip. BTW OP ripped up his original and swapped out the parts (if ya missed that).
