this was my first try and i was testing out if all my buttons worked. i ended up only using the lock, unlock, and trunk button.

took me three tries to get it right. i learn not to use super glue or a piece of plastic to separate buttons from board. i decided to use copper wires because its easy to route and soldering to the board was unnecessary.

i try all type of way to extend the range of the antenna. and the best way i found was doing this. its good for about the same length of the orginal if not better than it.

here how it looks like on the inside.

sorry for the crappy pics. taken from my phone.
im working on another one right now. it should be better and have all four buttons working.

oh yeah... i took one of my extra fob for my car and program it to my bros g35. while programming it i did something wrong and now his remote work both for my car and his car. if our cars are parked in the same lot then both will lock and unlock same time. pretty neat. dont know if this is normal or not.

Over at G35driver.com we unanimously decided that the transponder that comes with the pricey ebay keys doesnt stay programmed. Dont waste the time or money on programming or the transponder because in the end you'll end up using your own like in the pictures on page 1 of this thread.

When I went to my local Nissan dealer they told me the same, on that the transponders dont stay programmed.

I'm working on the how to for this and will post it later tonight however I didn't take pictures along the way but all try to use kevincat's pictures to explain how to do it. It's fairly simple.

^ Cool. Hope you can explain it with a little more clarity.

Post #36 is confusing to me. Is he saying he has a red trunk button, despite his pictures showing a black one? His fob with the red trunk release button seems intact within the same pic. I can see that the button was cut off, but does the 'motherboard' need to be cut in any way to fit in the switchblade fob?

Tips that I'm looking for:

-How to properly take apart the factory key to get the transponder out 'safely.'
-How to, where to, and what compound is used to affix the the said transponder in the new housing.

I would be satisfied with the original mod since it (see post #29 & 30) looks like the key has the Nissan hamburger logo molded in.

iPearl, do you have a link to the G35 threads you alluded to? I can't believe this thread is so long when it should be one of those one post threads that get stickied.
