pic request: NRG carbon fiber seats
Are they approved by anyone? When it comes to seats...I go w/ safety first. Not knocking them b/c I truly don't know but I would hope they are.
They look pretty good. I'm gonna go w/ the FIA approved Memory Fab seats, you may want to look into those for about $1000 for the pair. They're carbon fiber backed also.

In all, these "knock offs" are of the manufacturing quality that of Bride Japan. All seats are manufactured using state of the art quality control. Their facilities make around 10-15 seats a day in Gias format, and about twice that of full once piece bucket seats.
All of which is not an excuse for anyone to buy the "knock offs", but hey, its a free market, at least in Taiwan LOL.
But yes, I have a friend with a set of real Bride Gias and also have compared in person the "knock off" vs. his real and they are near 100% the same. Welds, to paint finish, to kevlar weave. The only difference is the fabric stitching on the knock off's logo is very minutely different. But to an untrained eye not able to scruitinize side by side, there is no possible way to call them "fake".
Just my $0.02
And the NRG brand are also made in....Taiwan.

Some go to Japan to get bride decals posted and put in Bride boxes and shipped with Bride brochure and owners information.

Bride seats are made in Japan, packaged in Japan, shipped from Japan. The "Bride" seats that were coming out of Taiwan, were in fact, knock offs, and there was a several year long lawsuit concerning this very situation. That lawsuit ended this year when it was founded in Bride Japan (Tees Corporation being their parent) favor.
Now, if someone wants to buy NRG, or replica whatevers, go right ahead, that is a separate discussion.

I know my information is solid and without doubt. But its not worth my time. And if I give out the manufacturers and their information then everyone would be buying $200 Gias's. And you do not have to buy in bulk. Z1 Performance, as retailers, would stand to lose alot of business/profit margain if all of the information in the "lawsuit" went public. They look at that particular situation from the opposite end of the spectrum. We as consumers look for quality, they as retailers look for profit margain.
There is a little tid bit that most people do not think about, court cases in large lawsuits between competition are more often than not "closed to the public" in regards to sensitive information. Therefore, I chose the route of not saying anything more. If you want it bad enough, you will find ways of aquiring it, whatever "it" may be.

I would never buy a seat with that logo (NRG). At least find one without a logo (I have seen plenty on ebay where you can order them without logo's).
