CF Top or just FRP with a two tone paint job?
First off, thank you to everyone on here for your advice so far, you've all been extremely helpful.
I want my Z to be two toned. I love CF for it's weight savings and it just looks really really good. My overall goal for the Z by the time I'm done with it is to have it be at or under the stock curb weight. This is after adding a small sound system, the typical bolt on mods, and some other goods I'm keeping secret for a while.
The question in all of this (to make the car cost efficient)... Does it make more sense to go all CF on the upper half, or only replace the hood and the hatch with FRP and paint the car two tone?
-Third option would be to by only the CF parts actually needed to reduce weight (hood and hatch) and painting them, with the rest of the stock upper.
The white car attached is my two tone example, the other is all Mastergrade CF on top.

Just pick whichever would be your favorite, I know there really isn't a right answer to what I posted, it's probably 90% personal taste and 10% science, I just want to know what everyone else thinks.

It looks like Im the only one who thinks cf is way overdone. I love cf for it weight saving over stock panels, but I would paint them. A nice two tone paint job looks much more classy than cf everywhere like a wannabe race car.
No offence to anyone on this forum. I have seen some cf that looks very nice, I just think its overdone and is much to popular with the honda crowd to be used on a Z.
just my .02

Thank you to everyone who read this and provided some input. I know what I'm going to do now, and it's a twist on both ideas, hopefully it will work out the way I envision it. Sorry to be so vague, but I want it to be a suprise. Look out for the pics around the middle of November if everything goes right.
i thought about what your talking about, and actually waiting for cf parts to arrive so i can put it on my car. The other alternative to what your talking about imo would be vinyl. its a lot cheaper than cf but doesnt offer the same look. at the end its all up to what type of look you want.
