Default Post Your Fire Extinguishers!

Ive been wanting to get a fire extinguisher for the Z I just dont know wher to put it. Not really for JDM bling factor but I dont know where I could put it where it would be out of the way but easily accessable. Post some pics if you have one in your Z or G.

You're going to need that extinguisher for the flaming. Better keep it handy.

Default Roll, Dick, Roll

I don't have any reason to have mine burst into flames, but my buddy has a black and chrome one mounted behind the seats in the middle on top between the speakers.

Give me a break.

I think he just said it because it was the perfect moment. If he didn't, you still got pwned and he wins.

I am also interested in this, for safety reasons. Being FI and with all my aftermarket parts installed no one really knows for sure how the car is going to act months or years down the road, accidents like this do happen. I don't understand why people are hating on someone who wants to save their investment from burning up in a fire????

I had an Altima that caught fire one day out of the blue, could have saved a lot on the repair bills if I would have had an extinguisher handy.

I want it to be hidden from view, as stated before not for bling factor, but easily accessible. Behind the passengers seat sounds like a good idea, ill have to take measurements. PIC's would really help though.

Also recommended brands? Don't care what it looks like as long as it gets the job done.

I personally don't care what anybody says about having or not having a fire extinguisher in any vehicle. Same could be said about wearing or not wearing a seat belt, how many times you wreck your Z? Me none but I wear it to save my ***. Although I don't have an airbag anymore LOL Hmmm. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

There have been 3 or 4 times times in my 24 years of driving that I have seen cars on the side of the road burning up. If I can carry an extinguisher and at least have a chance to save my 10 grand in mods, I will always carry one. My truck on the other hand I would actually like it to burn to the ground in a couple years, so I can collect the insurance and get a new one.

Bottom line is I've got 10 grand in mods (drop in the bucket compaired to other modded Z's) and if the car burns to the ground, my insurance will cover ZERO of that 10 grand.

I mounted mine in front of the drivers seat because it has the quickest access and is not in my way at all. Putting it in the hatch area with the spare is not good and putting it in the cubby behind the seat is not so good if you get in a wreck and the seat, cubby door or hatch get jammed closed.

I went with chrome because red would look like crap.

I'm sure there will be plenty of people who will always say it's a waste to carry one. To me 10 grand down the toilet is a waste. 65 bucks to help insure 10 grand, yes that works. One of these days I'm going to get a quick disconnect for the battery too.

^^ Sweet! how did you mount it there? did you drill holes straight through? were you able to see where they were gonna pop out on the bottom before doing it??

Nice! Yeah every once in a while I get a smell of unburnt gas and it seems to be coming from the fuel assembly area. On top of the fuel assmebly area sits part of 6k in stereo equipment. If my Z caught fire, Im sure it would be there. Yeah Im in so deep with this car Id be assed out if something like this would happen.

After I TT'd my car, it caught fire, I was un-prepared. I didn't have one in my house, or my car.

It will happen and you will be un-prepared, it was scary as hell. Use your head, get one, just to have.

You never know.
