Ive decided to use 8 LEDs per side. seems like a fair amount to adequatly light the surface.

I think evo is using fiber optics. that appears to be a ring of plastic, which done properly would reflect much of the light back in to illuminate the whole thing.

FYI: the one Micky has is our (Evo-R) "prototype", the finalized Z4 side Markers will fit even better and brighter too! Will post pictures once they arrive!

 

i hope your production version has even light spread around the lens, because in that pic it doesnt look very bright or even

 

Because of camera fleshlight, it did not look so bright.

 

yeah it looks like he was in a dimly lit garage, you can see the white 'bleed' from the flash on the ground (the white balance on the camera wasn't adjusted right. ) which would cause the light from the 'z4' badge to dissipate which is why it looks like the light from the 'z4' badge is uneven. I hope these things turn out as quality as the actual Z4 badges, they're gonna be phatty.
