That would be pretty cool, so as long as it is done right, like that pic above. If done different, it just might as well be rice.

I don't like the look personally, but I think it would be a cool project.

I've thought about that one before, its interesting and it very well may work.. but even on the Z4, I am not a fan of that look.
Just a bit "too much"

should have em in 2-3 weeks, hopefully. slightly different than those for sure, hadnt seen those actually. I had seen the 3 LEDs in the Z, and Im different than that as well. in mine the rim and the Z should glow.

but anyone that has looked at my reflectors knows, Im a man of options. I can and will do just about anything a person asks.

I think they look pretty good, Andy.

What is the light source, bulb or LED? Do you have any pictures of the entire assembly and how it sits on the car?

Thumbs up

To answer all of your questions:

(1) Sorry, I don't have a picture of it light up in the dark, since this is a proto type unit, and we are in the process of manufacturing, so untill I receive the finish product I won't be able to show more pictures.

(2) The cost will be somewhere around $60~70 for one set (a pair / 2 rings).

(3) It'll be LED(s), but as far as how many LED in one ring I'm not sure yet, but will find out!

Will keep all of you updated, THANK YOU for all of your support!!!

No modification is require to install this Z4 LED!!!

Basically just remove the OEM "Z" emblem then stick that onto the Z4 LED side marker, then tape the side marker onto the fender, and the wires will go through the existing 2 holes on the fender. No drilling or any mods require!!!

Thumbs up

Just found out that each Z4 side marker (i.e. each ring) will contain 2 super bright LEDs, and will be available in amber, blue, and white!

Yes, I know you may think 2 LEDs is not a lot of lights, but 2 super bright LEDs will be more than enough to light up this little side marker!!!

I believe that would all have to do with how its wired. tap into the positive of that sides turn signal, and it would go on with it.

I have some doubts about two LEDs being bright enough even if they are 10,000MCDs. They will probably be visible at night but I'll have to see it in the daylight.

The viewing angle of the LEDs and how the light is projected into the plastic will be critical. Getting two LEDS to light up around the ring evenly will be impressive indeed.

Well, it all comes down to how the prism is designed. It is possible to use LEDs efficiently but it takes a lot of work. Viewing angle seems to be my biggest concern, but anyway.. lets see what the product looks like when its released.

I am not a fan of double stick tape but hey..

dont think tape will hold that on for the life of the car =/ best bet is to find a very sticky glue that is weatherproof etc
