I'd def. go with Bride. Look alot better.

Of course, I've always like them so I may be a little unbiased.

I second the Bride...

I think it comes down not only to looks, but exclusive.

Recaro comes in every car now, EVO, Sti, Civic and Integra Type-R, and god knows what else (trust me, there are alot more)

Bride by name is true JDM and exclusive. People KNOWS that Bride are some good stuff and give respect for it, and if they don't even know what Bride is, then the conversation ends right there.

Also, when you said your have Bride seat, people know you put it in. Thats shows that you put work in your car. Recaro, people may ask is it stock? It is like Brembos, I am running Brembos GT on my 350Z, but most people ask if it is stock and I have to say no and then explain. If I got some AP Racing, Alcon, Project Mu, etc, people know I put it in. Does it stop alot better then Brembos...probably not...but it is because Brembo is used on so many stock cars now that they lost some of its brand exclusive.

Its like once a car become a taxi, no matter which ever way you look at it, it is a taxi.

Both are nice...

What kind of track events to you plan on attending to justify the need for such a seat?

I would go with Recaro cuz everyone still thinks that Bride is the best thing from Japan as far as seats go. That's why if you go to a car show, all you see is Bride seats in Integras, Civics, Eclipses and other stuff. The SPG is a seat that you can't touch cuz it's pricier than Bride stuff now that Bride USA makes their seats so much easier to get.

None, but it's JDM dude and I will get mad props from my boyz!!!!!!!!

The stock seats are freakin' fantastic, even in a track situation. The only reason to change them would be for tracking the car or to get a bit more headroom by mounting the seat to the deck.

I would lean toward Bride, if only because of the JDM factor-

Why not get a reclining seat?

Do you plan to use these race seats for everyday driving? I wonder whether crawling over the side of the seat to get in and out of the car would get to be a pain after a while.

Will the stock seat belts work with either of these seats?

Actually, I think in reverse. If you get Bride, most regular people doesn't know what they are, but if you get Recaro, EVERYONE knows it's top of the line stuff... So, that's my theory.

Actually, it's up to your butt to decide if you can test sit..

hmmmmmmmm.........

ok, i see that mostly everyone is biased to bride since it is the jdm factor.

i sat in a recaro spg in a car and the bride zetaIII out in a showroom.

the bride is a nice looking seat, but the recaro's material is so much better. for lasting tfactor, the recaro is the way to go. i fit great in both of them, but you can really feel on the thighs that the bride is made for thinner japanese males/females.

anyways, still torn btwn the two!!!!

keep the preferences coming, so i can make a decision soon!!!!

Recaro, John. It's a more civilized seat IMO and looks better.

John I went through the same deliema a few months ago when I was trying to decide on seats. I got a set of Bride Ergo's. I was not to impressed with Bride material before so I used Sparco with my last car. That was a big mistake that I will never do again. The Sparco material fades very quickly and does not wear well. They way I look at it is Recaro and Bride are they are both JDM. Bride I see more as a newer age racing seat. Much more hardcore core JDM then Recaro. I think Recaro and think JDM, but i first think of production cars that have had Recaro seats ie.. Porsche.

just my 2 cents

I would imagine this question should have an easy answer:

1) Sit in both seats and DECIDE which seat feels more comfortable AND supportive to you. It doesnt matter WHAT the fancy lettering is going to say behind your head, because in the long run it will be your BACK which will either complain or congratulate you on your fine purchase.

Based on my experience, the Recaro's I've sat in have always been fantastic. The Bride seats I sat in were a bit cramped. I am not a big guy, but do take into account.. a seat manufacturered in Japan is going to make seats for Japanese people. I am 5'8" and 145lbs, I dont think I'm too far off of what most Japanese average-build would be. But, I guess I am wrong, because that seat was just too tight for my tastes.

So, regardless of what people say.. I think you should seriously make your OWN final decision. Its kinda upsetting to read so many people are into flashing their wheel names, seat names, and body kits on this forum. Comming from other forums (240SX, Miata, Z32 300Z), people are usually talking about driving and trashing their cars.. you guys are talking about fancy brands and trying to SHOW the most.. more like the Eclipse and Celica owners. Come on, what ever happened to the classic *Z* owner?!?

NISSAN makes wonderful cars that are super durable, enjoy beatin'em up a bit!

I too have been in the market for new seats. But for a different reason. I'm a rather tall person, so what i'm looking for is the seat height. If i could just get the stock one's lower i'd be happy. I think that single requirement pushes me into the after market arena. Then it comes down to what is the stock height? And do aftermarket seats have a spec for that? The only thing i dislike about the car, is it just doesn't feel quite right to me. I think seats would be just the fit im looking for... if i could just find the information im looking for.
