Default Do you like your stock seats?

Does everyone like their stock Z seats?

Whether its leather or cloth, do you find them comfortable?

Would you want to upgrade to RECAROs or BRIDEs if you could?

Pros and Cons?

Reason I'm asking is cuz i have a pair or RECAROs from an Mitsu EVO.

The seats are worn but i can get them reupholstered for a very good price, just need to order some brackets to make it fit...

Your opinions please~(i dont have a Z yet, in the proccess of delivery)

Stock cloth seats here. Love them. Very supportive and comfortable at the same time. I really like the material that they used for them.

Ive got the stocks in tan leather, the driver seat looks worn compared to the passenger, since most time u cant open the door all the way, and the Z sits so low, u have to sit in and pivot ur body, so it wears the sides a bit, i guess after the leather gets real worn out, ill get racing seats, tho, im gonna miss the power and heated options, but then again, i live in florida, so its not too much of a lost

the Recaros are even more supportive on the sie bolsters, so should make in/out of the vehicle harder and probably cause more wear then....hmmmm reconsidering

I don't mind them, but I would definitely prefer something aftermarket, just can't justify paying for seats, I'd rather spend it on a performance mod.

For all you guys with OEM cloth seats. Sit back in it and put your head on the head rest. The middle part of the seat rises whenever pressure is applied to the headrest. That doesn't bother anyone else?

I have the stock leather seats. They're nice, and decently comfortable, but on long trips they don't seem to have enough support.

Also, when turning quick, I don't have the "connected" feel as I would have with cloth seats.

I plan on upgrading to racing seats one of these days.

i have the frost leather seats. Although i really do love the contrast of the chrome silver with the frost seats, i would rather have the black cloth seats. the reason for that is the leather on the driver seat it getting pretty worn on the edges, hard to keep the frost color clean, i slip and slide all over the place on hard turns haha

Today I had Katzkin seat covers installed to replace my fading carbon coupe seats. I highly reccomend going the katzkin route, they have certainly made in 10X more comfortable of a ride! I paid $750 out the door. I'll post pics if anyone is interested...

....factory leather is usually not a good quality seat....

I have the stock leather in matching burnt orange. Love them. Wouldn't change them if you tried to pay me too.

I totally agree with you! the frost seats are too thin milimeter wise in leather......the cracks show way too quick....

I had seen a blue Z with frost interior that he had switched with black cloth and that did it for me!

here's my car........and i love it!

i guess lots of ppl dont mind their stock seats....coming from a subaru, the seats made 80% difference in ride quality. The stock STI seats were very horrible. I have recaros in now and you wont believe how different it feels.

I have the stock leather seats and for some reason something dosent feel right with them. I wish that I could adjust the lower back to straighten out more than curved. I am 6"4 and sometimes it feel like my lower back is pushed forward in them. I have adjusted everything on them to make them feel "ok". The cloth seats in the base model i drove felt more comfortable to be honest. So YES I would upgrade to a different seat. If I had the money, Bride or Cobras would be in there.

Yea i noticed that to but never really questioned it! i dont really lean my head back all the way for it to matter either! i figure it was either a support feature for your back! or just the way they were made and was there for no reason!

but i like my stock seats! i know this may sound dumb but i even though about trying to get the stock nismo in my 08 cuz of the red on black i think would look great on my black car! but i bet they cost alot!
