Default Color to paint brake calipers?

Mods, this is a question related to exterior styling. Please, do not move this to the Brake&Suspension forum unless you really find it necessary.

Welp, the time has come to paint my stock calipers.
No, I don't have the Brembo brakes.

I painted them red a year ago, and thought they looked good.
Now, I don't like the look of them and feel they stand out against the darker theme I'm striving for. I also feel like they're a bit ricey.

So now I'm looking to repaint them. Help me decide!

Black or silver? Other suggestions are welcome.

The option is called "don't post".
Figured that would be obvious to competent people.

Thanks Mike, I was leaning towards black. I think it'd look kinda nice.
I'd love to go BBK, but it's beyond my budget atm, and I'm planning suspension changes next.
How's the Z btw? Still running strong?

Black you wont see and silver comes stock. Great panel of options you have there. Just keep it red, it keeps it rice.

I don't mind if you really can't see the calipers. I'd like to go for a more subtle look rather than the ricey red stock brakes.

I'm still undecided on which color to go.

So I thank you for nothing.

Then just make the front black and the rears silver or better yet! Front driver could be black and rear passenger could be silver... or to really mix it up you can do front passenger side silver and rear passenger side black? See what I did? Criss Cross style. That would be dope.

J/K man. Go with the silver. It keeps it subtle and back to stock which is always a safe bet.

can hardly tell they are red from the one pic but I say black. you have amused me many a post here so its nice to see you have a very respectable Z. keep it clean and go black. little more sutle than silver which really would not look much different than stock

^^ I'm leaning towards black personally, and poll is too. Thanks for the compliments and the opinion man.
What are you talking about? I drive a 2002 Integra.
Same pic request goes for you too.

Alright cool, I'll send you the package.

Yeah, I have Bluebat's overlays. People don't seem to like the 06+ tails tinted, but I like it, as any bright red would take away from my "theme".

BTW, have you posted any bigger pics of your car? With the new volks, it looks sweeeet. I need bigger pics to add into my screensaver folder

lol. thanks. i'll probably take some new pics tomorrow afternoon when i'm free and make a new thread.

yeah, i like the tinted look. I just never liked overlays. My body shop can paint it really nice where i know it can look good but when it's time to sell them, i feel like the price won't sell as high. I love what you done to the car. Nismo theme looks great.

I know what you mean, that's why I went with the overlays. And in case I do get tired of them, I can just remove them.

Thanks! The Nismo theme is what I'm trying for.

I'll be looking for that thread!

Hm...I personally would do silver. Black is nice, but I feel it will get lost in the night.

Here is another option.

Wait until you need to completely change out your brakes. Rotors are close to gone, and pads need to be replaced. Then go with Wilwoods basic BBK.

Onadime sells them for 963.XX shipped for some nice black ones with polished "wilwood" on them that look super nice.

Hope this helps
