I am having my G37 paddles installed within a couple of weeks (those who are interested, there will be pics and details posted in a different thread later on). While all the wiring is played with, I am going to reverse the inputs on the tiptronic (it will be pull back to upshift / push forward to downshift).
Can anyone recommend me a CLEAN way to swap the + and - icons on it? If it cannot be done cleanly, or is too complicated, I'll leave it as it is now, but would prefer to have it done.
Thank you.

What's in the G forum?

I didn't mention, my car is an 03 Z.
They are a part on the plastic piece.
And that piece is 130$, so buying another one and hacking those pieces out is not cost effective.
Considering that the + and - are etched into the shift column...you can't do much about it. Unless you get creative, fill in the plus sign to look like a minus, and etch in a line across the minus to make it look like a plus.

Thank you! I saw that kit before , but couldn't remember where.
FWIW, according to John, the guy, who will be doing the work, this kit is a total ripoff. The reversal on the up/down input points is very easy, this "plug and play harness" is just to make it look more complicated. The plastic piece is the OEM Nissan part with CF overlay and some stick on plaques on top of the +/- icons.
But it did give me an idea, and after having a conversation with John, we are going to try to make those little plaques ourselves, out of materials that have nothing to do with cars. I'll go into details later on, if this works.
Hopefully he won't mind taking some detailed shots during this and post it in the DIY section. If that mod is as simple as it sounds, 300$ for this is outrageous.
I cannot click on the e-bay page. But I did see the Mines kit. The reversal harness is like $45. And the whole shifter assembly with the reversed + and - is expensive at about $400.
1. Buy the harness, should be a simple plug and play.
2. Find two small aluminum or stainless steel circles. Go to a local laser/etch engraver in your town, and have them to engrave a + on one of the discs, and a - on the other disc.
3. uy some 3m double sided tape or a $2.00 bottle of epoxy or super glue. and simply attach the the discs.
This can look very professional and factory and for well under $100.

As far as wiring, that is already taken care of and the harness is not needed. It will be a simple cut/solder deal.

Had the stuff put done, paddles, and the upshift/downshift reversal (John/turbocad6 made it look very easy, so once again, WTF did mine's get the nerve to charge 300$ for the reversal kit).
I decided to just have the +/- shaved off the console altogether, I know where up/down is, so it doesn't matter.
On the other hand, the paddles work perfectly, match the interior like they are OEM and I am very happy with it.
Hopefully, John will post some pics once he's done modifying the plastic trim that goes under the steering column.
