Considering 'FILM' for your headlights?
Quite a ways back I put a blue tint film on my headlights.
A few weeks later I noticed these little hairline cracks in the lenses.
I figured it happened due to my TT kit creating more heat under the hood.
You didn't notice them just walking by but if you were to pay any additional
attention to the lights you would eventually notice them.
I let them be and after a couple years what seems to have happened
is some moisture got into the headlights and of course FRIED them....
So in case your running a TT or FI or other high HP process, you may want to
think twice about putting film on your headlights....

Wow, thanks very much for the info. I was thinking about purchasing a set of blue tint film from one of the vendors here. But after hearing that the headlights will eventually crack due to heat, I will definitely think twice about it.
This holds true for eyelids also. I think that it is less a heat issue and more a chemical
reaction which occurs over time - the adhesive somehow interacts with the lens surface
creating the spidering effect. It is so common I have seen it on almost every car which
had eyelids or film on the headlights for virtually any period of time.

I mentioned the TT/FI/HP fact because I have had people tell me "Hey I did that and I don't have a problem".
From what we are seeing here in this thread it seems like you may not have the problem now but you most likely will have it eventually.
I wished I had posted this earlier, but I had been busy with life and off the board, sorry about that.
At least I was able to help someone, and may prevent others.
In regards to how it looked, in my case, it looked nice at night and during the day you could barely tell it was there.

You will get it reguardless! If you use layovers / tint it's all a matter of time some people took 2 months some people took 2 years it all depends on the conditions and what is used.
