Did you sand it down first? Really doesn't look much different from stock.
Looking at the title, I was expecting something ridiculous like red or yellow spray paint.

Lol... Actually, I used an etching primer and then used duplicolor's graphite wheel paint (has a te37 on the can). Wet sanded working up from 320 to 1200 grit, then buffed and polished. The texture that you see is below the color, from the cast aluminum surface of the plenum. I had thought about using a filler primer but thought that the super smooth texture would make it look 'plasitcy'. It looks nicer in person compared to the second pic.
