Default Swapping out seats for Touring leather seats?

I am on the verge of purchasing a 2004 350z Enthusiast but I wanted to swap out the seats in favor of the Touring Leather seats. Will there be any problems or drawbacks by doing this swap? What will work and not work?

Thanks for your help,
chewi

Well, it'll fit, not sure if the heaters in the seats will work though. You might need extra stuff not sure. Someone will know. What color leather seats do you want? I have Frost leather seats for trade.

Welcome. If you want leather seats get a 350Z with leather seats. Its not like they are a rarity.

There will not be any wiring for the heated seats... Other than that I don't think it should be a problem....

power is very simple to hook up...i did it in mine....i just tapped into the power to the lighter....there will be plugs coming out of the bottom of the seats...one are for power, the other is for heat...very very simple...heat is more complicated cuz there are relays and some other stuff.
just get the seats and run a couple 3 foot wires.

Wow, if this is all to it then thank you for the info. Sounds not too bad.

its really not bad at all...took me all of 30 minutes...i also bought a wiring harness off of someone so i could use the factory plugs...but u dont need all that. some connectors will work just as good...i even bought all the relays and have a wiring diagram cuz i was going to make the heaters work but i never got around to it...

yea its very simple. theres 3 connections on the bottom of the seat. 1 very small white connector for the seatbelt, 1 medium white connector for the airbag, and a yellow connector with 2 wires only for power/heat.

I just picked up some power leather seats and put them in my base. I'm afraid the wiring isn't as simple as I had hoped. I figured out the power seats which I got working, and bought some toggle switches for the heat in the seats. I wired everything up and the seat heaters now work, but only the back works. The *** stays nice and cold. There are three wires that go to the back; white yellow and black. Those three wires run into the *** of the seat. Then, a red wire comes back out, which runs into another plug that runs into the back of the seat. I assumed that white was a switch, yellow is power and black is ground and wired accordingly. With that logic, the heaters work in the back as I said, but the *** doesn't work. I put my voltmeter on the wires and they are getting power. I know the seats work so it has something to do with the wiring. If anyone can chime in on this that would be great I'd like to get the other part of the heaters working.

so its all plug and play? I can buy power heated seats and put them in my enthusiast without any wiring other then the leather switches? I can get really good deal on pair of leather power heated airbag seats. just not sure if its worth it to hook it up the correct way without jerry rig the cig lighter
