How am I making this into an rx8 vs 350Z thread, I never compared the two!!! haha. My fellow rx8 brothers were the same, some liked, some didnt. It is what it is, Im not sure why I keep getting flamed out of no where.

If you want to make it a 350Z vs rx8 thread, go ahead. I dont need to justify my decision making for buying an RX8.

looks fine to me, the angle almost seems to match the angle of the *bump* in the hood. looks the same as it does on a z, for better or for worse

I think it looks ok, why did you get the rx8 over another Z? Just asking, not wanting to start anything. I was looking at them but just didnt seem powerfull enough compared to the rx7. Im waiting for the new rx7 to hit the market. But again, it looks the same to me on that car as it does on the Z. I mean both bumpers round so it all looks the same to me.

I just moved to Iowa a couple weeks after buying my Z. I moved from chicagoland to a gravel road in the country. Gravel, Snow, Ice, etc wasnt proper habitat for the Z. Plus I was in college and wanted to save money, I really didnt want to get rid of my Z at all. I actually traded it in for a Jeep.

Then when circumstances permitted, I went out looking for a Z again. While looking for the Z, I ran into the RX8. I was always a Z fanboy and never really knew much about the RX8 but long story short I ended up with one. I got a great deal on mine and liked the uniqueness of it.

It is underpowered compared to pretty much every car in its class, but it's a blast to drive and is very controllable and predictable around corners. Plus the four seats is nice, pretty sweet to pack the friends/ family in it and hit some twisties.

I like the Z and RX8 equally.

Majority of the members in this thread are relatively new, those of you stating there is no "performance" improvement has probably never monitored AIT during different driving conditions. There is a reason why they were initially made.

And this a majority of why I did it, I wanted to keep the engine cooler under hard driving. Heat is poison to the Renesis engine. Plus I honestly like the look of it
