Replacing non HID lowbeam bulbs frequently
I was just wondering if anyone else is having an issue having to replacing non HID lowbeam bulbs frequently.
I've been on the forum all day searching and haven't found anything.
Last resort....
Frequently = Replacing either sides from 3 to 6 months apart. One time a few days after I replace one side the other went out. Then one of them went out again a few months later...

Do you handle the bulbs with your bare hands? If so, don't. The acid in your hands can etch the bulbs and burn them out quicker.
Do you keep your outer lenses clean? If not, do. Dirty lenses cause reflection back on the bulb and burn them out sooner.
If neither of these apply to you, then I'm clueless.

Not aftermarket, dealer bulbs and dealer installed sometimes.
DD so the car is not usually clean.
Just wondered if anyone else had the issue. I drove around with 1 head lights for 6 months cause I knew as soon as I reploace it the other will go out or it would. To my suprise (sarcasm) the other side went out a few days after I replace the dead one.
I've made sure that there was no play on the bulb when it sits in the housing.
