Fat Mat installed today... thoughts so far
My girlfriend and I did this together she actually wanted to help.. Stripped out the hatch interior pieces and layered 2-3 pieces of fat mat through out the trunk area. It took us about 2 or so hours to go through about 40 sq ft of the stuff and i left 10 sq feet for the behind the glove box and bose cubby space. I can tell a huge different with my sub back there now it seems to have way more response than before. The DNX exhaust is still loud as hell but it maybe quieted it down 5%. I am pretty sure most of the exhaust noise is coming from behind the seats now so i am going to tackle them in the near future when i add a glove box behind the drivers seat.
All in all im impressed with the product it was around 72 degrees outside today and the fatmat adhesive bonded to the sheetmetal with little effort.
I will update this when i do the glove box area and let you guys know if it helps kill the drone of the exhaust. Might do the door panels in the future and the hatch but for now this is all i can swing.
On another note, i am really thinking about marrying this girl she's awsum doesnt ***** when i play xbox, and helps me work on my car.. of course there's alot of other good things too.
