Katzkin Installed for $90
Just got my Katzkin leather seats installed - bought them off James at ATD for about $500 - and paid a local shop in Hermosa Beach to install the kit for $90.
After calling a few "Katzkin Authorized" dealers and getting quotes from $300 to $450 I decided to call a few local upholstery shops and see what they would do it for.
This kit is incredibly easy to install, so there is no way I was going to pay someone $300+ for just a couple hours of work. If you're in the LA area and want info on the shop I went to PM me. They did a great job.

I'll post some pics soon. . .
I went two-tone, which I am not sure if was the right way to go.
I might have preferred just a single color. But it looks good regardless.

I think you did the right thing, I'd like to see pics, I think the redline's with the red two tone leather seats look great, I have PPW though not sure how white/black seats would look, was thinking white down the center leaving the outsides black, for 590 thats mad cheap heh, ahh in good time when these seats get worn I'd definately go custom

I also bought a set of Katzkins from James of ATD: 2-tone Black (Dark Graphite) with Frost (Puddy) inserts and "Z" fender emblems embroidered on the headrests ($480 + $20 shipping).
I also called "authorized" Katzkin installers and got similar high priced quotes. Since I was in a hurry (the authorized installers were booked, and I would have to wait 2 weeks), I checked a couple of local auto uphostery shops. One was restoring the interior of a '65 Vette, so I assumed their quality must be okay. They charged me $60 per seat and it was done in an afternoon - with very few wrinkles. I've seen photos on this web site of $350 installs with a crap load of wrinkles. I've been told that many disappear after a few weeks, but I think it's bettter to start with as few as possible.
Also, I asked them to NOT cut the cloth seats off (the quickest way), so I was able to save my almost new cloth covers - Since the cloth headrest covers are sewed on, the leather ones went over the top of them.

My shop carefully removed my cloth seats for me, so that I could use them again in the future if I decide to.
I plan on keeping them, so when I sell my Z I can give them to the next owner (in case they dont like my sweet leather seats?)
