painted CF isnt too bad if its on plastic.. perfect CF look and its not like you need to save 1 ounce of weight with plastic.. now if you did that to something big and heavy.. that kind of defeats the point but it is pricey either way..

Our process is probably more labor intensive than real CF. But real CF is not cheap either. Alsp figure the cost of fashioning all the attachement points and mounting posts on the back for the radio, gauges, etc. I for one want to see what Parker comes up with. SEMA is a few days away and still no word. His replacement dash has been in dev. for over 6 months now.
Everybody is getting impatient.
And Joust, on your mods you forgot to install the anti-static strips that drag behind the bumper. Get the ones with the little red reflectors with chrome bezels! Awesome addition.

if I knew it's the best we can get I'd get it. It looks quite good on picture (I don't know about in real). It look infinitely better than that stick-on kit for $300 (crazy).
But real CF is real CF. Even if it won't save any weight, I'll at least know it's uthentic. And the price will be if not the same then close to it. Look at prices of CF hoods. Even if you still want this stuff, wait till real CF dash will came out. Prices for this stuff will go down dramatically.
It's like wearing fake Rolex and real Rolex. You may fool people but you'll know it's not a real thing. I'd feel uncomfortable wearing fake Rolex. And people who know things will see it's a fake... crystal isn't really a crystal (scatching)... second hand not moving smooth... and than some 10 more things
(Rolex mentioned for example only, I prefer TAG-Heuer myself)

Agreed. Pinnacle LIquid is Okay though since it only resembles carbon fiber. It does not look like an outright attempt at copying it.
I wouldnt wear a fake Rolex but I would consider the above product. However I will wait for real CF
