So I just got a CF hood, and I need to paint it.
You can see by the pic below.

I was thinking since I have to paint it maybe I could do a 2 tone. Burgendy and bottom half black. Let me know your opinions. I did a photochop of my Z with the 2 tone idea I have.

The second idea would be to paint the hood.

Opinions and other photochops welcome!

 

It would cost alot more, but I would do the hatch/roof/pillars CF also.

 

Voted. Paint it all black. Leaving the vents CF is not too bad, but it still looks better all black IMO. The 2 tone looks tacky IMO...

 

i would either 2 tone with CF or just paint black

I think you should paint it all black.
it just looks so much cleaner.

 

I say paint the hood and leave the vents CF. It still looks clean and the CF looks sick!

[VOTED] personally i like the full carbon look on hoods but if ur painting it I say paint the hood and leave the vents CF.
u can always redo the clear coat too

 

Well I'm trying to fix the scratches on the hood and clear it. If I can do that I don't plan on painting it. I have been talking to people on the Mid A forum to see if I can find someone with a Polishing machine so I can polish the hood. If take all the scratches out it will probably stay in CF. Once a decision is made I will post updated pics.

 

2 tone looks bad. a 2nd color to acent isn't bad, but that looked ooglay.
