That's what I did. Dealer wanted almost 100 bucks for driver side door pull gizmo. I spent 50 bucks more than that and just got carbon fiber overlays. I like the look and I won't get chips anymore.

I just ordered some...will post before and after pics. I'm so tired of looking at the scratches... I mean I don't care too much about the interior but I'd like it to at least be clean and scratch free.

If this doesn't work I'm going to grab a brushed aluminum kit.

My '06 was the same way. I have a frost interior and my problem areas were the armrest area where the switches are located, the steering wheel silver trim, the radio **** and buttons, and the storage cubby at the top of the center console. The dealer didn't want to replace these, but replaced them after I went to the manager b/c I still had my warranty. They didn't replace the radio buttons, just the volume ****. For the steering wheel, they said they couldn't just replace the one single trim piece b/c it comes as an assembly with the airbag, so they replaced the whole thing. Same with the storage cubby, new door and inside pieces. I'll more than likely get these painted in the future when they start to get scratched up and peel again.

Accidentally scratched an area below the number 6 preset button of my 2006 Bose CD changer radio. Ugh. Anybody had good success with this? Anywhere to find this rubberized undercoating stuff locally or just Internet?
Ugh

I did this as well. Money well spent.

I might do this for the cubby door button though, mine is scratched to ****.

Default Bringing back the dead

Not to necropost or anything but I just thought I would add very little but some input on the subject matter.

I believe the issues the op was describing would be shown in these photos of my door panels of my '06 Z as I am having the same issue...

What I ended up doing was what I tend to do with everything; Google until I think I understand enough about it to try a DIY. I was having the same issue with the center trim panel and found this video on youtube (not trying to advertise, it's just what I found in my search)

Upon watching this video over and over and over... etc lol, I proceeded to town to pick up some supplies (-minus the Tri-Sodium Phosphate he used, not a clue where to get that stuff...)
I also picked up a can of metallic silver spray paint and a can of clear glass enamel (forgot which brands but I'll look for the cans if someone needs to know) and here are the results of said labor.

Default frost interior

I took a frost grey armrest into a carquest and they custom mixed interior paint/dye for not cheap $45 for a spray can that will last forever. Depending on light how well it matches. But good to the naked eye
