Default Frost Blue Pearl

I haven't posted on here much....so I guess for starters hello everyone. This has been our winter project of sorts whenever we get free time. Got bored one day and mixed up a color similar to this. Then just ran with it and thought it would look awesome on a whole car. I will get better pics when it is all together and nicer outside. Hope you enjoy, and if not flame on (I understand this isn't everyones cup of tea)

The pearl blue's not coming across very well, if at all, in those pics, but I'd like to see some taken in natural light. Looks like quality work, though.

Almost like the Frost Mica from Lexus?

I would love to see this in the sun. And I can almost guarantee Eweb photos won't do this color justice.

It looks like a good paint job, I just don't see much of the pearl

Any pictures of it in the sun?

Thanks guys. Yeah i understand the pictures are garbage, but I have zero camera skills and the lighting is so-so at best for a body shop. I would love to take some pics outside but we are in the heart of winter right now and it is not so nice out there. I will definitely get some better pictures when it warms up and all is finished.

I did this color back in the day on my Civic hatch. Took a Lexus tri-stage and swapped in blue pearl for the stock gold (this was before they came out with Frost Mica). I loved how different angles would seem pure white, then change to blue as you walked around it.

It was a hard paint job to lay down. gotta do the exact same number of coats at the same PSI on each panel, each jam, under the hood, etc...

Are we not going to talk about why the title for this thread on the home page is "Smurfcum Blue" ?

350zzjoe its a custom color and needed some kind of a name hence the "smurfcum blue"
Immature..... Maybe?
Funny....Yes!
Paint codes get all sorts of crazy names. Why not have my own. I mean we went through the time to do spray out cards after spray out cards.
Mods didn't appreciate it though. Understandable I guess.

In for better pics! It looks white from those pictures and maybe a little blue is coming through in the last picture, but it could be a reflection of something else.

I can't wait until it grows up and turns into the Audi from Irobot.
