I know that the appeal to this whole wrap thing is that most people can do it at home and the finished product looks great, but has anyone ever considered using this method of improving the looks to the Z's interior http://www.dip-tech.net/index.html If this is used for rims, and engine bay covers, I'm sure it would stand up to the abuse from the sun and everyday use.

I installed my wrap all good but after day it seems it doesn't resist high temperatures. I used 77. I'll test 90 and see wat happens...

Overall I love the material...

the trick is get all air out after you applied the fabric....if there still air trapped between the trim and fabric, the heat/sun will make the air expand which lead to bubble up.

I know what do you mean. The fabric sticks ok when it's flat/concave.But, where I live i gets really hot.. specially when I go to work. I park the car under the sun and you can tell is not air bubbles. I've done wrapping projects but nothing pro. Temperature inside the car rises even if the sun protector is on the dashboard. How I see it is as follow. When you remove any vinyl fabric... etc you apply a heat gun, so all the material will came off easily. The same temperature applied when removing the material can be compared as the temperature inside of my car when I live it under the sun for hours at work or when shopping. The material becomes flexible again and you can even play with small areas lol... oh well.. who knows.. I might have done the wrapping in a wrong way. But, I've seen people having the same issue as well. I might just look for a high temperature that can be clean and used for the areas that are not holding. I'll keep posted everyone about my researches and products I'll be trying..

I'm trying to see if there's any interest in carbon fiber fabric by the yard. People are paying from 30-35 dollars per yard for a lower quality cf fabric than mine. Mine are stronger than the typical fiber used low cost woven materials that are generally available. It has a tensile strength of just over 700,000 psi, compared to about 525,000 for T300 and AS4. Its tensile modulus is also slightly higher than those fibers. The fabric is 54 inch width 11.2 oz/yd^2 wt. It is warp knit +/- 45 degree bias, manufactured by a german company. BTW, I don't think my material is for sale to the public.
If I knew it was this popular, I would have started selling awhile back lol.

How about $35 per yard? I would ask $40 since the quality is higher, but I don't think people would pay that much? Same price as the lower quality ones. Located in socal to pick up but I can ship as well! Just trying to get a feel for these.

the fabric that soni & I have in our cars has proven to be very durable....even in hot weather. you just have to use the right adhensive.
The fabric / texture looks as good as when it was applied.

this is a pic. of the alfa romeo C8 competizione dashboard....the fabric looks a lot like the interior wrap that "we" have used in our interior.....check it out. I'd like to see this in real life.

3m has some stuff that looks like this neffy wrap, but it has adhesive backing already on it. Im thinking about buying that instead since the spray adhesive is a beezy to work with

that 3m stuff will be extremely hard to apply for the interior parts....very stiff film.
Very hard to wrap compound curves.....
I think the 3m stuff is more suited for the exterior applications as you'll need a heat gun to wrap properly.

doesnt look so bad on this link:

http://nemini.org/index.php?topic=12777.0

I just like the fact that you dont have to deal with the adhesive. That stuff dries pretty quick, and its a hassle to do section at a time. Also, if you fock up, cleanup is a PITA.
