I just like the fact that you dont have to deal with the adhesive. That stuff dries pretty quick, and its a hassle to do section at a time. Also, if you fock up, cleanup is a PITA.
not bad at all!! The only small issue I see is the ring that go along the shift boot.

Wow, 22 pages and nothing about other color fabrics. I have two silver cars and I would LOVE to have this material wrapped on my interiors... in SILVER.

In carbon fiber vinyls you can find all colors. Champagne, anthracite, black, silver... I wonder is somebody or other(s) can hook us up with another color...

NeffyWrap sells a silver wrap as well as this "Classic" color. It looks great as well...

I've been watching this thread for months now and I can't take it any longer, I'm definitely ordering some. Do you guys recommend I just start with the 3M #90 rather than the #77?! We're going into Fall now so temperatures shouldn't matter but I don't want it to lift up next year in the Summer heat...

Also, besides the one recommendation of having a good sharp exacto knife, are there any other little tips you guys can recommend? Thanks guys, really looking forward to this!!

I have always wanted to ask a question that sounds dumb, but can you wrap something that's not hard? like the inner roof or trunk carpet?

BTW I just searched your work. They look great.

Yes I could, but more than likely the piece would have to be done in fiberglass first then wrapped in CF...I just finished up an oldschool toyota dashboard, like early 90's I think...It was a metal dash with foam and vinyl over it...I ripped off the vinyl, did the piece in glass then wrapped in CF.

The one and only piece that has given me problems since day one...the console in this car...Every time i have attempted to do that piece for some reason the cf does not adhere right to the surface of the plastic...Ive tried a bunch of times different ways but no success...I have a spare console here that i am going to mess with but for right now i am not going to do that til i get it right...I really think the biggest problem with doing it is the flex of the piece when it has to be put back into the car...any other piece in that car not a problem tho!!

If you can fab up some sort of grill for the stock front end in carbon fiber that's not tacky that would be pretty sweet I think. Photoshop something first though.

I know what you mean, that dimpled plastic is something else. Have you tried drilling tiny holes into the plastic so that the resin would adhere better? It would not be an overlay that you could remove, but I have heard of this working on difficult surfaces.
