This looks way better than any CF part or stick on I've seen Got one question, I do happen to like the glossy look, but don't like how the weave on most carbon fiber parts look, is there any way that once wrapped you can spray the part with something to give it that glossy look? I was thinking maybe some expoxy and then a few clear coats Any bodyshop guys who can maybe answer this question, or if it can even be done?

No doesn't look the same, the wrap looks ALOT better. The CF kits always look crappy at the edges, or the weave near a curve looks all distorted. Really disappointed with the CF kits on the market, they look like ****..The real clean look especially around the edges is what attracted me to this wrap. So is there anyway to get it looking glossy?

Im sure a good brand of clear coat, some sanding and light coating would get you the look you want to achieve. Try to wrap a small piece or cut a small square and spray 3 or 4 light coats and see how it affects the material.

FYI all,
I recieved my square yard of material Friday and I'm not disappointed at all. The material looks amazing and has back to it so it looks as if it will be very easy to work with... simply cut and paste! or vice versa. I won't be doing the install until spring so don't expect pics anytime soon hah.

Cf fabric application
you need the following items;
~very sharp/new exacto knife: art supply or hardware stores
~3M super77 spray glue: soni posted a pic. in this thread (not sure about how other brands will perform but, super77 is what we used).: art supply or hardware stores
~masking tape: hardware stores
~denatured alcohol: drug stores
~soft cloth
~tools to disassemble/assemble the center console
disassembly
I found this web page.....not sure who but, big thanks.
http://liljerk.morpheus.net/350Z/dash_removal/
Application:
~after disassembly, clean all parts with alcohol.
~cut cloth about 1/2"~3/4" bigger than the part you are covering: it's better to leave a bigger yield...
~once the alcohol is completely dried off / cleaned, apply spray glue.....make sure you cover the whole area
~start from the center & work your way to the edges. DO NOT OVER-STRETCH.
~gently rub the fabric down to the surface. the super77 allows you to make adjustments as you apply....until it dries.
This is the tricky secion....3 pods on the top section:
just take your time, you should be fine.
Let me know if you have any questions.

the gauges + floor are glued to the back of the cover. i didn't want to break the glued spots. That's why I went through the trouble of wraping these areas before applying the glue, instead of pulling them off completely....hope this helps....

The pods can be completely removed without breaking them. Even the bottom half of the pods can be removed. You need a heat gun and take your time. I was able to do it using my oven. I just let it heat up to 350 and held the back of the dash away from the top coil about 3-4 inches and it got soft enough to remove. This might make it easier to wrap. You can glue the parts back on when your done.
