LOL you didn't know you needed a cage? ofcourse! jim said it himself not safe for dd without a cage... I'd still feel uneasy with a cage with all the buzzed soccermoms riding around in ext escalades

 

For sure. I wouldn't consider carbon doors unless I was converting my car to mostly track duty, and I definitely wouldn't do it without the proper cage to protect me in case of a "t-bone" type crash. Even then, I wouldn't be surprised if you got stabbed/impaled with fiberglass/carbon fibers.

I wish I could get the weight savings benefits of it though, there are only a few parts of our cars that you can lose that much weight with a single mod (hatch/lexan rear window), lightweight seats make a big impact as well), unfortunately this one is on the dangerous side. Rickdogg is the only guy I've seen pull off carbon doors on a "street" Z the right way.

 

yea rick dogs a ganster. i like carbon fiber but money to performance its just not the way to go.
