why bother getting the halogen BS ? Just get you a kit for 120 (give or take) for the HID's and be done with it..

yes but please stay within the 5-7K range...10K is way blue..but it may be your preference, so its to each is own..

they are plug and play and are SUPER EASY to install. There is one mod you have to do to your stock lights...drill a 3/8 (or 1/2)hole through the back cap (the cap you remove to replace the bulbs - its white)..I will have to show you a pic so you can understand better..

here - you can see it on this pic of my DIY... its over on the top right - you can see my hole that I had to drill so I could plug my kit up

VOILA - HID's

negative - they all say "we are the #1 distributor!" "highest quality!" blah blah..

I got the eagle eye with the slim ballast 5K for 100 bucks (free shipping)

that was back in the day so I havent seen anything like that unless its a group buy or something like that..

Good luck man-

you do not need to run a relay but its just safer thats all....

im running a relay on my retro fit since im using d4s ballast and bulbs. they draw more power than any other ballast so that why i made a custom harness.

check your PM!

i never changed my bulbs on my Z but on the G35c....I've installed hids on there and you need to turn the wheel on one side and remove a few screws/pins on the inner fender cover to access the headlight bulbs/fogs. I'm sure the Z is the same way..

It's much easier to install the HID kit if you remove the wheels. You have more room to work. Taking off the wheel is no big deal.

6000k is blue. 4300k is white. Get the lowest K rating you can. Higher K ratings have lower light output and are dumb colors. 6000k look like fake blue lights.

If you see cars with HID drop ins on halogen lights (civic rice boys) and they look really blue compared to OEM hids on BMW Audi Mercedes that is what the 6000k - 6500k look like. You can see them coming, they dont look stock and you can tell they are cheap aftermarket crap. People with 6000k bulbs don't think they are blue, the rest of the world with OEM hid's in their car can see aftermarket HID's coming from a mile away because they don't look right.

If you want it to look OEM like your car came with the HID lights (the way it should be) then get as close to a 4300k kit as you can.

Guess which one is 6000k and which one is OEM... lol

There is almost no additional work to putting in a halogen bulb vs an HID kit. They are plug and play, and will not be a big deal, dont sweat it. I did a set on my 00 Boxster and you can imagine doing that on a Porsche, and honestly it was a piece of cake once I was done.

The Silverstar ultra are pretty good, I used them on my 02 CBR600 and they gave me more night light for sure. They don't look like HID's and do not have the light output.
