There is almost no additional work to putting in a halogen bulb vs an HID kit. They are plug and play, and will not be a big deal, dont sweat it. I did a set on my 00 Boxster and you can imagine doing that on a Porsche, and honestly it was a piece of cake once I was done.
The Silverstar ultra are pretty good, I used them on my 02 CBR600 and they gave me more night light for sure. They don't look like HID's and do not have the light output.

btw: my is a base 04 non hid model

No you don't put the ballast inside the head light lol. You put the bulb in just like installing a regular bulb and you mount the ballast. HID kits are sold plug and play so the bulbs are the same as stock, just need to be connected to the ballast which you can zip tie them down if you have a good spot. The ballast stays outside of the light. They are easy to install don't worry.
I believe the halogen 350z lights are H7 so buy an H7 HID kit and put it in, no big deal.
Something like this: http://www.lightinthebox.com/product...-Kit-H7-4300K/

those are def not 6000k lol. 6000k is white with a hint of blue. 4300 is white with a hint of yellow. 5000k is pure white...
i guess different brands of hids make different colors =/

6000k is blue. 4300k is white. Get the lowest K rating you can. Higher K ratings have lower light output and are dumb colors. 6000k look like fake blue lights.
If you see cars with HID drop ins on halogen lights (civic rice boys) and they look really blue compared to OEM hids on BMW Audi Mercedes that is what the 6000k - 6500k look like. You can see them coming, they dont look stock and you can tell they are cheap aftermarket crap. People with 6000k bulbs don't think they are blue, the rest of the world with OEM hid's in their car can see aftermarket HID's coming from a mile away because they don't look right.
If you want it to look OEM like your car came with the HID lights (the way it should be) then get as close to a 4300k kit as you can.
Guess which one is 6000k and which one is OEM... lol

I installed HIDs for a customer on a G35 at my dads shop. 6000k D2C for headlights and 6000k H4 slim ballast (waterproof) for the fog/highbeam =]
the fog/highbeam's color looks slightly off compared to the headlight due to the angle of the picture taken. In person the colors match!

50w is obviously more power therefore its brighter. The kits they sell, they do not come with the 50w HID bulbs for the 50w ballast and instead they are 35w HID bulbs. The life of the bulbs won't last and its hard to find 50w HID bulbs anyway =/

I also saw the posts in the other forum. That dude is giving out some wrong information. You do not need to open the lights to install the plug and play kits. The only modification you will most likely need to make ( I had to) is drill a half inch hole in the back of the white round plastic piece on the back of the housing. That hole enables you to put the wire from the ballast to the bulb. Mounting the ballasts is very simple. You can use cable ties to hold them in place or drill small holes so screws can hold them. The plug and play kits are very simple to install and do not require removing the front bumper. You just need to take off each wheel and remove the inner fender liner. That is really simple and is held in place with 5 or 6 small plastic rivets.

They definately are my friend. They are 6000k in the OEM housings with the OEM 4300k beside them. If they were 8000k they would be really really blue.
