Default Asking all PPW owners

Hey guys,

I have a 03 PPW and was wondering if any of you guys have any issues with the paint on the rear and front bumpers. Front, obviously rock chips. But for the front I am also having some paint cracking, can post pics if ya need em. But it seems the paint on the front, rear and side skirts are a little off color, its not noticable until you really stare at it, it seems like the color is a little faded. like the clear coat is deteriorating. Anyone have the same issue?

I don't mind re-spraying. Has anyone done a re-spray? if so did it match well?

i have an 06 ppw..my bumpers are a little off as well..believe its due to the material the paint gets sprayed on. bumpers are plastic and the body is metal..so the paint will be a little different..i put a kit on my car and the body shop told me it would be kinda hard..but came out VERY GOOD! ALMOST PERFECT!

Yep my 08 is the same. You can see it in some light better than others. And especially when it's dirty.

Yeah I have seen this on my car and that is the reason the paint is different colors. I do have cracking on my rear bumper also where the turn signals are i have one little line on each turn signal. Thought it was just me but..

Yeaaaah my front bumper is a bit darker than the rest, but its only noticable when its not sunny out. It makes it look like my Z has a 5 oclock shadow. When I got a new rear bumper resprayed at a body shop, the paint match was 100%. Its way nicer than the OEM paint.

But mine's the same way on my chrome silver. The gas door is the most noticeable as is w/ most other Z's too.

This is not a PPW or Z-specific issue, this pretty much occurs on every car with body panels that are mixed materials - some plastic, some metal. It's easier noticed on some colors, even even on some cars just due to the shape and how it catches light.
