I've searched the forums for an answer to my question, but could not find quite the answer I was after.

Are there any specific racks or method (not inside the car) of carrying a pair of skis in a 350z?

Are you really gonna put a rack on your Z?

 

get yourself some 3m tape, apply to ski, stick ski on car.

 

That's actually not a bad idea. You could use the 3M blue painter's tape. You'd go through a few roles probably. I'm not sure if you'd be able to close your window either...

 

i can fit 2 snowboards and all the gear for 2 guys in mine. im sure skiis would fit, ram them in dough head

 

yeah you can stick skis on the Z. but if the roads have snow on them i fail to see how you are even going to get to the slopes anyway.

I put 190cm skis inside the car. No rack sorry.

 

First the bike rack and now ski's... Good Lawd... The minute I see this shiet, Im trading in the Z for a mini-van...

 

Okay you will need two people for this..

1. Tell person A to wear skis
2. Tie rope to back of car and ask Person A to hold on to it
3. Person B drives to wherever he/she want to go
4. Person A is just being dragged along

I actually had something similar to this, but it attached to the window/door frame. Never tried it on a Z though...

 

That looks like it may work, it says that it won't harm the paint. Has anyone had any experience using this?

 

why dont you put teh z on skis?

I basically bought a Subaru Forrester because I could not bear to put a rack on my 350Z nor drive it 800 miles R/T to mammoth from San Diego area. I did not want high miles, damage the paint & interior, nor deal with a lowered 350Z in snow.

I love the forrester & it is fantastic in the snow. I strongly suggest you dont take a 350Z skiing assuming you like it to be kept in good condition.

 

^^Agreed, ...The best solution I've found to hauling skis and PA winters in general was a used 2000 Jeep cherokee sport. Not only are the winters that much more enjoyable but I appreciate the Z that much more every spring/summer.



My question though is.... Does it even snow in Australia?
