any suggestions?!?

You unplugged something. I believe there's a wire or something that attaches into the housing of the transmission gear lever assembly. Check that first.
Secondly, make sure that the car's back in Park. You may have gotten something mis-aligned, and the car can't get all the way back to Park.

a wire???
oh oh... i didn't see any wires... Yeah, i tried to rock the car a bit and move the steering wheel.... no luck... it feels like the car is not in park. But the shifter "feels" locked in...
I've got my ideas from this thread https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....r&pagenumber=2
i will now try to put the old one on and see....

you can't get the key out if the aftermarket **** is not at the height. you have to make sure that the **** is at the proper height in order to remove the key, since the car has to be in park.
