I'm planning on getting my windows tinted. I'm going for 50% for sure. I just want to see some samples if you guys have it. Also 35% to give it a little bit of a comparison. I kind of want that light look and still visible I'm only doing the doors and the small windows... not the back...

 

Here is a pic of mine with 35% tint. I can't imagine why you aren't going to get the rear window tinted.......

 

20% you can see just fine out of day or night...Iv heard stories about how big uh jerk off cops can be in cali so maybe you should stay legal....

But as for visibility and staying cool 20% will work well.

 

I really don't like maneuvering with tinted windows on the rear. just 4 windows that's all

 

gonna look stupid with all the windows tinted except for the largest one. 10% here and ive never had an issue "maneuvering" my car around at night.

I'm not even 1 to tint a car, but 50% is a complete waste. I've never even heard of someone getting 50%.

Get like 35% or whatever your local laws are all around. You be able to see just fine with a legal tint.

 

yeah 50% is def too light

i think youre overestimating how dark the tints really are

the pic that the dude posted above (35%) looks dark

but when youre in the car, it looks like there is no tint at all. When standing outside it would only be dark in some angles and at night

i have 30% and its way too light. prolly going for 20% this summer

 

10% and it really isnt difficult at all to see out of unless you have poor eyesight to begin with, 50% is just a waste of money.

 

yea i agree 50% would not accomplish either of the reasons for tinting. it would be too light to give the car a tinted look and again too light for the function of blocking sun. and you should def tint the back if you tint the others but i understand not wanting too because i live in the bay area and if you are in SF then it will be a bit*h sometimes at night

I have 15%, and I love it. Honestly, imo I think 50% is gonna be way too light and a big waste of money. If I were to get 50% tint, I'd just live the windows as-is and only tinting 4 windows is going to look retarded, but if you are going to get 50% why even worry about having the rear window tinted @ 50%? Even with 15% it's not THAT bad.

Plus, if you really can't see at night that's why you roll down the windows to back up.
Go ahead and spend the money to get 50% you will then noticed you wasted alot of money, and you're attitude from your last post isn't going to help you at all. So drop it, and let people give you suggestions, you're the one that asked for help. And you think we can't read the title that says "Do you have 50% window tint?"

Like I said go ahead and waste your money on 50% and make your car retarded by tinting only 4 windows... you did say it's YOUR car, and it is YOUR money you're wasting. Go ahead. Do it.

EDIT: if you want light windows too see out at night, but with still some privacy 35% is the way to go.

 

i think 45% is the lightest.

 

i got 50%F/15%R on my beater, works great to block some sunlight and not that noticeable to cops. But running 35% front, 5% rear on my Z.

 

and plus if you wanna go for that route then you should get the best one. try this site and let me know what you think

There are plenty of reasons to get 50%... such as the owner's taste and preferences, and oh yeah... legalities.

 

then i suggest that you refrain from making these type of threads in the future since it is obvious you can not handle getting feedback, (since that is what you are looking for).

check out tint samples online, then go check out the local tint shops around your town. seeing these in person rather than asking for a picture online (where light and photo quality can distort the look) will be the best way to make your own decision on what to do. good luck and post pics when you are done

 

Well I don't have 50% but I damn sure can talk if I feel like it. Maybe you should take your own advice and relax. I'm not sure why you think you dictate who can and can't reply to your thread. If you don't understand how a forum works then maybe you don't belong in one.

I don't think people are bashing you at all, they are just offering input. And I can see why. I don't want to be lumped in with a bunch of ricers and fcuktards who make their cars look stupid.
