I asked if I could do a 5th gear run but they said the Dyno shuts down @ 140 mph so it wasnt possible maybe a different machine could do a 5th gear run.

Yeh I dont understand that! on there intake there is a big plaque that says Dyno Proven. maybe they are using that Mossy Dyno? I was thinking of driving up to INjen and asking them whats up. they are only like 40 min away. I'll get to the bottem of this.

it's due to the piping and the way that the oem intake puts the air, nissan did their homework, and although this is supposed to be "high performance" nissan's design is more efficient

What your saying does make a little sense, but nissan designed the exaust also and by changing it and the intake I did still get 7hp, so I wonder if it is Nissans intake or exaust that is more efficient, or if Injens intake and exaust are each independently a little more efficient than nissans design 7rwhp is 7rwhp, But $157 per Hp is a little expensive though.

well, nissan's stock exhaust isn't TRUE dual, so exhausts such as borla, injen, apexi, etc improve on the design, also with the different piping (i.e. h pipe and y pipe)

Hey everybody I went to carlsbad raceway this saturday and ran some terrible times it was a blast though, there was really nobody there so I got 9 runs in, the best being a 14.0 with a nightmare of a 60ft time , but thats what I get for racing on hard a$$ tires and 19"s . I will have some video up later of the trip the s2k and the M3 are close friends and we chased each other all the way to SD from LA ti was a blast we were running everyone and then on the way home we all got punked by a New E55 he was pulling on us @ like 130 that car is nuts.
