Default Re-painting my 350z... Ferrari black?

I'm painting my whole car against because i got scratches everywhere. Its black right now, but im thinking of using the paint code off a lambourghini or ferrari... they seem to have more of a shine.. i think its the type of pearl or amount of clear thats being used....

anyways... should I stick with the 350z black or switch it up and paint it using Ferrari's black paint code?

A clear coat finish will give you the high gloss you're looking for. I could be wrong though.

I personally think that the magnetic black is a good enough black. Not too flashy, but better than super black.

In case you didn't know, there are two versions of "black" for the 350z. Magnetic, which has more of a sparkle (don't know the paint terminology) I *think* started in 06.

Yeah one day a superblack z was parked next to my magnetic black, and boy was it a difference..

the superblack paint is more flat and dull, while the magnetic is more sparkly..

before you go spendng a ton of money on a paintjob, you would be surprised what a professional buff job would do. Hell, spend a day on paint detail (claybar, wax, polish) and you'll be surprised how much it will help.

Understand that owning a black car is a career, and it will always require much more care than any other color--whether you get it repainted or not, you are still going to run in to the same problems.

Couldnt agree more with recommending a professional buffm if unsatisfied afterwards, my vote goes for Nighthawk Black Pearl. It's an Acura color found onthe TL and RSX, I sprayed my old dsm that color and loved the results

If I had a choice I would change mine to pearl white. I have black and its a pain to keep clean.

Changing the colour on your car depreciates the value.
