You can't just half-a$$ things. You have to start from scratch. If money was the reason why you didn't get this done professionally then guess what buddy, a new set of lights is just as pricey if not more than what you would have paid to have done this right. Like you have already read, too many lights, not aligned and overall apperance is not good. You can obviously tell by your results that you didn't even research this enough to get any type of a positive result. 40 holes? Ever heard of moisture?

The 40 holes are internal. I'd like to hear this moisture explanation.

I just did another search for Audi style lights... um, the only people that have even attempted this is CinCity? So.. what you talking about research wise?!

As far as leaving things for the professionals? You guys need to ease off the intensity. I'm a med resident not a modder. I realize that some of you guys spend every waking moment on this forum and the rest of your time on your cars, but for the rest of us it's all sh*ts and giggles. Of course money is an issue?! Otherwise I'd be driving an Audi! Good thinking! These cars are cheap, which is why I can afford to drive a used one with dents and scrapes... so take some breaths, ease off on the caffeine and hope that I can do a better job removing your spleen than fixing your headlights. Right Jekl and Volk!! Simmer, you drive a Z not a Ferrari.

Don't get your panties in a bunch, any mod you do has to have some sort of research behind it. This site is not the only form of info you can get, albeit a good one but not the only one. If you have ever seen an Audi R8 or A5 you can count way less than forty LEDs per light. 40 LEDs just get you a line of light, they are too close to eachother. Try 12 or 20 tops. Oh, moisture. All those holes had to had wires running from them correct? you had to drill a hole somewhere near the back to get said wires to a power source i.e. the running light wire, which you could have also gotten a better LED bulb for. Nevertheless every hole you make has to be waterproof or you will get moisture build up inside your light. More research, less execution. You did not achieve the Audi look, that was your goal right?

I don't want to come off sounding like a complete jerk but you have to plan things accordingly, that is my point. Modding, medicine, whatever you do has to have a solid foundation or else it will crumble down. I suggest you try finding someone who is selling parts for headlights, I saw a thread of a part-out a while ago. Otherwise you have to have those forty holes filled in and start with the right LEDs and the right amount. For your next attempt I recommend T1 3/4 LEDs (5mm) and LED lenses (little plastic cover things that go on over the LED) all from Mouser.com. They have everything you will need to get this done right.

He's profile says he's a med student and that his occupation is a doctor... do we have another Simann on our hands?

I hope your medical practice is better than your mods.

At last you could have cut them in half and aligned them straight.

Props for the effort. But the look is terrible - with that many LEDs you should've opted to use a flexible CCFL tube instead (what Saab uses), which would look MUCH better.

Actually there is no intensity at all and you are missing the point entirely. The quality of your craftmanship is pathetic and your decision making skills are no better. Look at your upper cubby monitor, look at your RCA inputs and look at the alignment of your lights. It has nothing to do with what kind of car you drive, I would not half *** anything that I do, unlike you.

So as far as my spleen goes, why the **** would I trust you with my body when you obviously cant be trusted with plastic. Jack off!
