Default Aftermarket seat fitment

Hey I was wondering what's the difference between, for example, an aftermarket racing seat coming from an s2000 compared to a 350z (just an example). Is it just the seat rails that differ? I've seen a lot of aftermarket seats for sale in my area but none of them coming out of a 350z. Could I still purchase these seats, purchase the proper seat rails, and put them in my 350z? Thanks.

LOL , they are all universal. Just get the proper rails to fit them in your car.

Some seats will not fit in some car do to width and other aspects. That info is hardly if not never listed.

As I said before the s2000 was just an example. I don't plan on putting s2000 seats into my 350z, I plan to get an aftermarket racing seat from a different car and fit it into mine, via the proper seat rails. And fyi seats from differing cars and put in all time, hence 240z having s2000 seats etc. So you're comment isn't as witty as you first believed.

if the aftermarket racing seat you're buying off the s2000 has the width of the shoulder bolsters that fit into the Z, then all you would need to buy is the Z specific seat rails and mounting hardware.

good luck. post pictures when you're done.

I didn't. I knew that other seats could be fitted with custom tailoring. However I was simply asking whether or not I could just simply switch the seat rails from an aftermarket seat, i.e. BRIDE, and it has been confirmed in prior posting. I consulted the thread for confirmation.

Thanks for your helpful insight. I shall post pictures if I do happen to pick up the product. Exactly the answer I was looking for.
