Unhappy HELP! i faild with my headlights

so.. i did my black housing and i decided to clean/buff my headlight lens since they were off already..i wet sanded it inside and out(inside not the best idea) with 1000 grit witch i latter found out that i should have used 2000 grit. i tryd buffing it with meg PlasticX but had very little affect so i went o the store and bought 2000 grit and a mothers power ball and came home re sand and then buffed with power ball 2hrs in and still not the best results..... so i kinda feel like throwing in the towel...

Any advice???

And ive been searching a lil and cant seem to find somewhere that sales just the clear lens for he head lights..dose any buddy know were to buy the lens without buying the whole headlight set..

help me please...
and feel free to flame me but first help a brotha out.

You're screwed...

No place sells the lenses by themselves.

Two options:

- Buy ebay HID and swap out the lenses
- Wetsand down the lenses and polish the hell out of them. Eventually you will get them clear.

sand them again with the 1000grit (i would go 600 though) them spray some clear over them. the clear will fill all the scratches and come out probably looking better than brand new stock.
test a small area with the clear though. i spilled a little bit of gas on one of my headlights and it spidered the plastic for some godforsaken reason. you should be fine though. i did my tail lights and they look better than new and i buff them just like any painted surface.

I'm telling you man save yourself time and just get the knock off's and change the lenses. I'm sure if he didn't sand with the right grit sand paper he probably shouldn't be messing around with clear coat on his lights...that's just my opinion.

I'd just buy new lenses....and also make sure you seal the headlight like no other....don't wanna have to take them back off and re do the sealing if you have a leak and get condensation in there.

sand then paint. if it comes out with bad orange peel, sand with the 2000 and polish. test the clear and plastic compatibility first though on a corner or something. this is all pretty easy man.
will set ya back like $5. worth a shot.
