Default Installing LED Parking lights on 03-05 Headlight

I was considering doing the following project. On the pre-06 model headlight, remove the amber side diffusers for clear ones and replace the parking bulb underneath it with a 4 led strip. This wouldn't go the full length of the diffuser but just the open area where the original bulb is located.

Sorry I dont have original pic (copied from XLeezardx). I'm hoping it would look similar to the 06+ headlights, yet different as well because I would choose my color and the led light would be difused underneath the diffuser. (So it doesn't look like 4 spot lights).

What do you think??

Might have to do this depending on the final product. Don't really want to drop a grand on 06+ lights, but want something different. In for the final results!

sounds like an interesting project, but where can you get the clear diffusers from? I have seen some in the clearcorners lights??

Clear diffusers for 03 - 05 available at http://www.ricks2k.com/products/350zdiffusers.php

Here's the results from when I did mine. I also put in clear reflectors in the bumper to get rid of the amber in the front end.

I dont have a pic of it, but I replaced the turn signal bulbs with chrome covered ones that turn amber only when lit.

Getting LEDs would be cool to close up the hole in the diffusers.

Here's a link to my 3 part procedure. Part 1 links to part 2 and part 2 links to part 3
