looks great man. I don't have a Z yet, but I'll likely get one the beginning of next week and was looking to do this, but in black. I had a GTI so I'm coming over from the Euro crowd. They called it the Joey mod over there. Mind if I ask how you did it? Did you have to heat the headlight to open the seals?

Yes I had to heat the headlights, so i pre-heated the oven to 250F and then baked one headlight at a time cause thats all i could fit for about 20-30 mins. Also dont forget to undo the five screws on the outside before you bake them. I pryed them open took out the 2 chrome housings except the main one, 2-3coats of primer. Then used my color matched spraypaint (http://www.automotivetouchup.com/) 3 coats, and finished off with 3 coats of clear spraypaint. reassemble and baked again for another 20-30mins, put back the 5 outer screws and mount the headlight onto the car. overall not to bad but just be careful when you take them apart not to get any of the epoxy on the lense, but if you do i used non-acetone nail polish remover to get it off just have to scrub.

Looks good. I would have lost the amber strip or actually just painted it also. Would have been a bit cleaner but good job none the less!

I actually thought I'd like it a lot more than I do. I think black would've been my color choice but nice job nonetheless.

Looks good. I would have painted over the amber strip though.

Thanks everyone, I was actually trying to find the clear strip to match my clear bumper reflectors. if anyone knows where to get one let me know. only takes about 20 mins to pry them open so no biggie for me to do this.

nice one on the DIY, looks great, would have done the white / clear strip. A friend over here just picked up a set of replacement for about $50

Also, change the amber indicator bulb out to one of the silver Phillips ones
