Default How far do your windows 'roll' down when you open the door?

Some help pls guys. How far do your windows move down when you open your doors? My driver's side window goes down atleast 1/2 an inch while my passenger window barely goes down 3mm???

Is this normal?

Neither is "officially" normal. The FSM says 10mm but from what I've seen, it's more like 3-4 mm.

Mine's just a weee bit, but enough. I'd think as long as it goes back up, there shouldn't be a problem, right? But very interesting observation.

Only reason why I noticed is because I had my windows tinted. They both moved about 2 mm a few weeks ago. Now one side is 1/2 an inch while the over is still 2-3mm.

A couple of mm. Just enough to break the rubber seal.

Close to 1/2 a cm. Clears the seal fine.

seems everybody's different. Mine used to be only about 2mm on both sides. It's 1/2 inch on the driver's door now but when i try to wiggle it, it's not loose.

well, that's some comfort

I've disconnected the battery to reset the computer but didn't help. I tried to wiggle it and it's not loose so it's not mechanical I don't think.

Noticed the same thing the other day. I shut my door when i got in and it sounded like the window didnt drop at all. When I got home checked it again and it barely moves, but enough to clear. When the door is open im also able to push it down manually a little bit more. Havent had any problems since

There is a window reset procedure outlined in the Factory service manual (which I don't happen to have on this computer) that might help to correct anything that might have been altered by your window tinter.

Or if you look at the DIY on window motor replacement I believe it is in there as well. G/L OP.

you say that but you don't. I remember the olden days when i had to crank down my windows to pay toll or parking, it sucks. or if you tried to talk to someone standing by the passenger door and you have to lean over and crank down the window.
